In anticipation of the total solar eclipse, Plano ISD will be providing NASA-approved solar eclipse glasses for all kindergarten through 12th-grade students to allow them to safely experience this unique and spectacular phenomenon. In preparation for the event, our campus and district staff have developed plans to make this experience both safe, educational, and fun. 

• If you wish for your child to opt-out. Please complete the form and return it to school before March 28.
• A safety video regarding the eclipse and eclipse glasses can be viewed here. Prior to viewing the eclipse, students will watch this video and engage in learning experiences that support the eclipse event.  If you have any questions, please contact your student’s teacher.
